Annual ARTP Occupational Asthma course (2 days)

This annual course has run successfully for over 10 years, and participants attend face to face from all over the UK and from Northern Europe.  It offers training to those working in respiratory physiology/medicine with an interest in occupational asthma, or those currently working in occupational health. It covers the core investigations into occupational asthma, how to undertake and interpret them, with a case-based approach throughout.   The next iteration will be in April 2026, and will be held in Solihull, near Birmingham (and not far from Birmingham International Station and Airport). If you wish to attend you can fill in the form above and return to us, or contact the team via the 'contact us' page on this website and reserve a place.

Introduction to Workplace Respiratroy Health Surveillance (1 day)

This new one-day course was held face to face on the 7th November 2025 at The Exchange, University of Birmingham (central Birmingham location). It was aimed primarily at those undertaking respiratory health surveillance in the workplace, and covered the basics of, and scientific background to, spirometry and questionnaires, as well how to manage surveillance 'failure'. It had lots of practical advice from the team, consisting of respiratory physiologists and physicians and occupational medicine physicians.  As well as occupational health nurses and practitioners, it will also appeal to OM trainees and physicians.  If you wish to reserve a place on the next iteration fo this course, which is likely to be in November 2026 in Birmingham, please contact us via the email address on the contact page
