Making a referral

For patients

In order to see you in our NHS occupational lung clinic at Birmingham Chest Clinic we need a referral from a healthcare professional.  This might be a GP, practice nurse, occupational health nurse or advisor, occupational physician, or hospital doctor or nurse.  If you are unsure, please contact us for advice.

For healthcare professionals

We are happy to receive clinical referrals from any healthcare professional, for example:

General Practitioners

Hospital doctors (specialists, consultants, doctors in training)

Primary care nurses

Occupational health advisors and nurses

Occupational physicians

We aim to see all referrals in a timely manner.  If you wish to discuss a case with one of our doctors or clinical scientist first please contact us by email, telephone or fax via the link below.

Analysis of peak flow readings

We often receive queries about interpretation and analysis of peak flow readings. Please contact us for more information about OASYS analysis or visit the www.occupationalasthma.com website to download the award-winning OASYS software.  We are also happy to analyse peak flow readings for you.
